She married twice. First she married George E. Roberts in Lynchburg, VA, 8 February 1848. The bondsman was Howell Davies. It is said by a single source that she had a son naemd George, as well as her daughter.
George was born 1809. George died 1850/7 at 42 years of age. George was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Lynchburg, VA. He was a tobacconist.
Second, she married Dr. William D. Wilkerson in Lynchburg, VA, 2 November 1858. Page 10, Book B, Lynchburg Marriage Register. They were married by W. H. Kincaid.
William was born in TN 1810. William died 1863/69 in Lynchburg, VA, at 54 years of age. He resided in Somerville, Fayette Co, TN circa 1840. William's occupation: Medical Doctor in Somerville, Fayette Co, TN, 1858. While he is said in the 1858 marriage announcement to be a "merchant", he is a doctor at least 2 years later in 1860.
William was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Hardeman Co, TN. His parents were George and Elizabeth Wilkerson. He was married and a widower before he married Otway Anna.
Ottaway was listed as a household member, age 25, living with her first husband, George E. Roberts, in the 1850 Census in Lynchburg, VA. Ottaway was listed as a household member, age 36, living with her second husband, Dr. William D. Wilkerson, in the 1860 Census in Hardeman Co, TN. He is listed as a medical doctor, with land worth $7600 and persosnal property of $21,215. He has 3 children from his previous marriage living with him (Lucy A.C. Wilkerson, age 17, a college teacher born in VA); Margaret E. Wilkerson, age 15; and Molly E. Wilkerson, age 13).
