Marriage Note:    They were married by the Rev. William S. Reid. The date of 10 October
1822 is quoted by G. Cook, probably coming from Junius Clay's Bible,
and the Bedford Marriage record shows 7 October [date of Bond].
After his marriage, he moved to "Rosemond" in Campbell Co. He was
elected to the Virginia House of Delegates for Campbell Co, 1827-1847
and was the first President of the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad.
He was a General in the Virginia State Militia. In 1835 he was a
county justice and in 1854 was appointed a member of the Board of
Public Works. After his wife's death in 1848, he spent the winter
months at the Norvell House in Lynchburg. Four of Odin's sons served
in the 2nd Virginia Cavalry in the Army of Northern Virginia.
