Marriage Note:    At some time after he married Bettie Moore, he moved to Greenbrier,
West Virginia and left a large family when he died. The 1850 Virginia
Census shows 4 children (Alice F, age 6; Richard M., age 3; Florida
Calhoun, age 2; and Mary Louisa, age 3 months), all by Bettie Moore.
In addition, listed out of chronological order, are Robert R. (age 17)
and Alexander B. Crallâe (age 10), who may be nephews and not sons by
his first marriage.
