Burial: Birth Note: He inherited 1700 acres of land in Campbell Co as well as a lot in
Lynchburg. There is disagreement over his birthyear, but if the
Census is correct, it was 1801.
Individual Note: After his marriage, he moved to "Rosemond" in Campbell Co. From 1827
to 1847 he was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates for Campbell
Co and was the first President of the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad.
He was a General in the Virginia State Militia. In 1835 he was a
county justice and in 1854 was appointed a member of the Board of
Public Works. After his wife's death in 1848, he spent the winter
months at the Norvell House in Lynchburg. Four of Odin's sons served
in the 2nd Virginia Cavalry in the Army of Northern Virginia.
