beginning 1882, and he was a Converse County school commissioner. He
owned the Ayres Natural Bridge land near Douglas.

Birth Note:    He was the son of James L. Ayres and Patience M. Vincent.

Adoption Note:    His stepfather, Alvah Washington left him the Ayres Natural Bridge
land 10 miles west of Douglas, Wyoming. Andrew later donated this
land, now the Ayres Park and Natural Bridge, to the State of Wyoming.

Death Note:    According to [IT:The Douglas Budget:IT], as quoted by Shaputis, he was
killed 4 miles west of Douglas when a car frightened the team he was
driving and threw him from the wagon.
